汕头大学是一所获得李嘉诚基金会支持的公立大学。学校积极推进国际化办学，开设多门全英文授课课程。英语语言中心(English Language
Center，简称ELC)承担全校大学英语教学工作，致力于培养学生的英语语言应用能力、批判性思维能力、跨文化交际能力和自主学习能力。现面向海内外公开招聘讲师、副教授和教授。中心诚邀具有扎实专业背景、热爱教育事业、致力于高质量教学、持续开展学术研究与课程创新的优秀人才加盟。受聘教师主要承担英语课程教学、课程建设等工作，并积极开展学术研究、发表学术论文，推动中心教学科研发展。
二、招聘岗位及条件

(二)基本条件
应聘者须具有外国语言学及应用语言学(英语方向)、英语语言教学(TESOL/TEFL)、英语语言文学等相关领域的博士学位(PhD或EdD)。应聘副高以上岗位的，应聘者还须符合《汕头大学职称评审办法》规定的相应职称评审条件。
(三)其他优先条件
在以下一个或多个方面具有相关经验或成果者优先考虑：
l 具有高校英语教学经验;
l 具有与职业发展阶段相适应的科研成果;
l 具有课程建设与教学改革创新经验;
l 具有科研项目研究或学术合作经历;
l 具有教师专业发展或教学科研团队管理经验。
特别欢迎从事数字化英语教学、人工智能赋能英语教学等相关研究的博士应聘。

About Us
Shantou University (STU) is a public university in China that receives additional support from the Li Ka Shing Foundation. The university is committed to international education and offers a wide range of English-medium courses. The English Language Center (ELC) provides English language education for students across the university. Our courses aim to develop students’ English communication skills, critical thinking, intercultural competence, and independent learning abilities. Applicants must hold a PhD or EdD in linguistics or applied linguistics (with a focus on English), TESOL/TEFL, English language and literature, or a closely related field. Applicants for Associate Professor or Professor positions must also meet the criteria for the corresponding academic rank as specified in Shantou University’s current faculty promotion policy (《汕头大学职称评审办法》).
v Preferred Qualifications
For all positions, preference will be given to candidates with experience or achievements in one or more of the following areas:
l University-level English teaching experience
l Research achievements appropriate to their career stage
l Curriculum development and teaching innovation
l Research projects and academic collaboration
l Faculty development or leadership of teaching and research teams
Candidates whose research focuses on technology-enhanced English language teaching, particularly the use of AI, are encouraged to apply.
